U.S. Senate Extends PPP Loan Program

Last night, the U.S. Senate passed legislation by unanimous consent to extend the application period for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) through Aug. 8. The measure would allow eligible applicants to access the approximately $130 billion in PPP funds remaining; however, the U.S. House still needs to consider the measure. The loan program expired at midnight Tuesday.
