National Hospitals Week: Thank You to Our Members

National Hospital Week, which officially kicked off on Sunday, has taken on much greater significance this year because of the unprecedented fight against COVID-19. Illinois hospitals and health systems have tirelessly and heroically lead this fight on the front lines across our state, and for this IHA offers a heartfelt thanks.

“We are humbled by everything you are doing to care for patients during this unparalleled public health crisis,” said A.J. Wilhelmi, IHA President and CEO. “Your response to the novel coronavirus has been an inspiration to everyone at IHA; our elected officials in Springfield, Chicago and Washington, D.C.; and the communities you serve. The past few months have shown how critical hospitals are to everyone one of us and how important healthcare professionals are in both ordinary and extraordinary times.”

To showcase the herculean efforts of Illinois hospitals and the perseverance of your healthcare professionals, IHA created a video, launched today.
