National COVID-19 Update

Current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) figures show more than 1.38 million confirmed and presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. in 55 states and U.S. territories, with 83,947 deaths. New York state leads the nation with more than 338,000 cases, followed by New Jersey which has more than 141,000 cases. There are 28 states reporting more than 10,000 cases of COVID-19.
The CDC Thursday released six flow charts to help workplaces, schools, restaurants and bars, camps, child care, and transit systems decide when to reopen.
The latest WHO situation report shows more than 4.33 million COVID-19 cases globally, with over 297,000 deaths. The Region of the Americas (includes the U.S.) now leads the world with more than 1.86 million cases and over 111,000 deaths. The European Region, is second with more than 1.82 million cases and more than 163,000 deaths.
