IPPS and LTCH Proposed Rule Fact Sheets Available

Today, IHA posted fact sheets summarizing the federal fiscal year (FFY) 2021 inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) proposed rule and FFY 2021 long-term acute care hospital (LTCH) proposed rule. Hospitals should note the price transparency requirements in the IPPS proposed rule, as they would require hospitals to provide median negotiated charges on the Medicare cost report beginning FFY 2021. Comments are due July 10, and IHA plans to protest these price transparency requirements on behalf of our member hospitals and health systems. Hospital-specific impact reports will be posted in the C-Suite in the near future.
