The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) has posted the next quarter’s Hospital ACA Access payments to be paid under the Fee-For-Service program for the months of August, September and October.

NOTE: These payments do not yet reflect the impact of HB 4678 (P.A.99-0516), which was enacted during the most recent legislative session. HFS is in the process of finalizing the new MCO capitation rates that are expected to include funding for the MCOs to make Affordable Care Act (ACA) Access Payments to hospitals for ACA adults enrolled in managed care.

It is anticipated that as soon as HFS finalizes the MCO rates and submits them to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, HFS will issue updated reports and guidance on the timing and implementation of the new ACA Access Payments attributable to ACA adults enrolled in managed care.
