Illinois Crisis Standards of Care Plan - Clinicians Educational Session: March 11

Healthcare leaders and clinicians are invited to participate in an educational webinar on the updated Crisis Standards of Care (CSC) Plan, formerly known as the Catastrophic Incident Response Plan. This plan has been comprehensively revised using lessons learned and operational considerations identified during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the goal of strengthening coordinated decision-making during extreme or sustained incidents that significantly impact healthcare delivery and public safety systems.

The webinar will provide an overview of the updated framework, highlight key changes from the previous plan, and discuss practical implications for healthcare and emergency response organizations.

Two sessions will be offered to ensure content is relevant and actionable:

• One session on March 3 tailored for healthcare executives and senior leaders

• One session on March 11 tailored for clinicians and frontline providers

A limited comment period is also open in parallel to these educational sessions to allow stakeholders to provide feedback on the updated plan. Participants who wish to submit comments may do so here by February 20, 2026.
