Public Perception and the Importance of Telling Your Hospital’s Story
Michael Hildebrand, Senior Vice President, Public, Community & Rural Health Systems Practice Deputy, Jarrard Inc., Nashville, TN
There’s power in storytelling. When navigating disruptive innovation, successful healthcare leaders are those who can clearly communicate the impact of external changes on their organization. Sharing your hospital’s story to your patients, workforce, community leaders, elected officials, and other stakeholders is critical in today’s increasingly complex and polarized environment. And it all starts with a deep understanding of how your organization is perceived by patients, consumers, and other stakeholders in the communities you serve. This session will explore how hospitals can best convey their important role in communities and connect that story to stronger patient trust, access to care, and community health.
