Touchette Regional Hospital
Touchette Regional Hospital is home to many healthcare heroes who stepped up to the plate this year:
- Terri Lamar, RN, Infection Prevention Nurse, works closely with medical staff on treatments, plans of care, and vaccine planning and administration. Lamar has tested and educated numerous employees and patients. She has dedicated countless hours after work monitoring and sharing test results to allay fear. Special note: Governor Pritzker recognized Lamar in his Nov. 25 COVID-19 briefing.
- Reggie Wince, Nurse Practitioner, assesses and manages the daily care of patients admitted to the hospital. Working in collaborating with physician, nurses and respiratory therapists, he has cared for many patients with COVID-19. Many of Wince's patients have complex medical and surgical needs and comorbidities.
The entire Medical Surgical and Intensive Care Units have also made outstanding contributions this year. These team members have worked overtime during strenuous circumstances and shown exceptional resilience, teamwork and compassion:
