Leaders in Nursing Excellence
Illinois is one of the top states with Magnet hospitals. As a key indicator of quality, the Magnet Recognition Program® certifies healthcare organizations for excellence in nursing and patient care.
Governor Issues Proclamation
Gov. JB Pritzker issued a proclamation on Feb. 28 honoring Illinois’ 53 hospitals designated as Magnet hospitals through the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Hospital Recognition Program for Excellence in Nursing Services.
Magnet designation highlights a hospital’s quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice. It is considered the ultimate credential for high-quality nursing. This voluntary recognition program was developed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
