Remdesivir Reminder

A reminder, the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response notifies the Illinois Dept. of Public Health (IDPH) regarding  allocations of remdesivir for a given distribution period based on hospital information from Teletracking and HHS Protect. IDPH determines how much remdesivir hospitals may purchase based on the federal allocation. As requested previously, all hospitals should make sure their pharmacy contact information in EMResource is up to date. The pharmacy contact will receive communication regarding shipments and logistics from AmerisourceBergen.

AmerisourceBergen coordinates shipping details with hospitals and generates invoices when shipping. Hospitals are encouraged to proactively establish accounts with AmerisourceBergen and should email sales@asdhealthcare.com to complete this process.
