IHA Video: IL Hospitals Are Heroes in COVID-19 Fight
May 21, 2020
Illinois’ more than 200 hospitals, nearly 40 health systems and 285,000 healthcare professionals have come together during COVID-19 with extraordinary conviction to achieve one powerful goal: going the distance for patients and communities.
We encourage IHA members to view and share our “Going the Distance” video, developed to showcase the tremendous efforts of hospitals and health systems across the state. The video is on our Healthcare Heroes webpage featuring stories hospitals and health systems submitted. It is part of our broader “Going the Distance” digital campaign, which includes social media.
Set to upbeat music, the video pans across images of frontline staff, hospital leaders and staff in supporting roles across organizations. They hold up signs that highlight their important role in fighting COVID-19 and the determination it takes to go the distance.
Displaying their strength, frontline staff pose flexing their muscles. Also in the video, you’ll see a thank you sign from the Chicago Cubs on the Wrigley Field billboard and a garden of faux yellow flowers planted for each COVID-19 patient discharged and healing and home. Capping off the video are moving scenes of discharged patients as hospital staff gather and cheer.
At IHA, we’re cheering for you. On behalf of IHA President and CEO A.J. Wilhelmi, IHA thanks all Illinois healthcare heroes during this unprecedented fight.
