Healthcare Worker Safety
More workers are injured in the healthcare and social assistance industry sector than any other, and healthcare has one of the highest rates of work-related injuries and illnesses. To support workplace safety, IHA provides a wide variety of resources for healthcare professionals.
Health Care Violence Prevention Act
Workplace violence is four times more likely to occur in healthcare than other settings, with more than one-fifth of nurses reporting physical assaults. IHA provides resources on the Health Care Violence Prevention Act, which mandates prevention training and requires certain signage.
