• Andrew Lancia, MD, Medical Director of the Behavioral Health Integrated Services, provides mental health services to COVID-positive patients. He produced a well-received report on organizational changes in response to the pandemic. Early on, Dr. Lancia recognized the strain on frontline workers and guides them to resources to prevent burnout. Special note: Governor Pritzker recognized Dr. Lancia in his Dec. 11 COVID-19 briefing.
• Rebecca (Becky) Wahlfeld, RN, clinical lead in the ICU, is an integral member of the COVID-19 care team, having assisted in developing the hospital's new ICU for COVID. Wahlfeld ensured that all patients could communicate with loved ones using technology. She's a true patient advocate who makes it a priority to ease patient anxiety. Special note: Governor Pritzker recognized Wahlfeld in his Nov. 25 COVID-19 briefing.
